What is now University Lutheran Church began with a canvass of the area by Mission Pastor Schoenberg in August of 1916. Formal organization took place March 18, 1917. The present location was purchased on November 25, 1923. The first structure, called “The Little Church on the Green”, was dedicated Palm Sunday, April 10, 1927.
